HOW TO ADD YOUR WORDPRESS.COM BLOG TO GOOGLE WEBMASTER TOOLS

STEP 1
Create a google mail account if you do not have one because that is the only way you can get access to google webmaster tools and to enable google index your site in 48 hours.

STEP 2
Go to google search this term ‘google webmaster tools’ in order to access the site. Enter your google user name and password and you are off to a good start.

STEP 3
Click on where you see the ‘Add a site’ menu. After doing that go to ‘Alternative Methods’ Click on the ‘Add Meta tag’ and copy the meta tag. Then, go to ‘Tools’ in your wordpress.com account just below the ‘Users’ menu then paste the Meta tag you copied to the space where you see ‘Google Webmaster Tools’ and save changes. Then click on ‘Verify’.
